Rosie and Georgia HallThe support from our Facebook members has been fabulous and all of us just want to make life a little simpler while eating Gluten Free.

From time to time I will write a blog but plan to invite members as well, to maybe share their story or experiences with regard to being Gluten intolerant or Coeliac.

I am really planning on keeping the site very positive – including the reviews on the restaurants and products. We will only advertise those that have been recommended by Coeliac Australia or reviewed by our members. Any restaurants etc. that have a very bad review will be deleted from our directory . We are not here to get anyone offside, on the contrary we would like to encourage a much better range of dishes and definitely better labelling on menu’s.

How hard is it sometimes to find the very small written GF on a menu.? Recently I wrote the following on Coeliac in the City Facebook Page “I am seriously thinking of getting a formal petition set up and sent to AHA/ etc to make it MANDATORY that all restaurants/food outlets must clearly show on the menu which dishes are gluten free Does anyone agree with me?”

What a response we had!  Over 220 likes, 30 comments and it reached 7500 people. I did write to the Australian Hotels Association and have asked them to encourage restaurants to identify a bit more clearly etc.To date I am awaiting a response – I will keep you in the loop.

For now I would love if you could look at the products/restaurants and if you have a positive review
please go ahead – this is going to be a community webpage so we can all share our findings.
By the way the picture is of my daughter (Georgia) and I – taken recently.
